Münster withdraw their goalscorer, opting to make a defensive substitution. Braunschweig also respond by bringing on a new striker for the closing stages.

Braunschweig are now throwing everything forward. The hosts keep playing long balls to the wings and are looking to find a way through to the front.

After receiving a yellow card, the scorer of Braunschweig's opener leaves the field. The hosts respond by bringing more attacking firepower into the game.

Braunschweig react to the Preußen pressure and bring on Flick to help stabilise the defence.

Yamada is immediately involved in the game and almost goes through on goal. At the last moment, however, he is fouled by Marie, who breaks up the attack and is cautioned by the referee.

Münster react to falling behind by bringing on Yamada and Benger - two more offensive players - into the game.

Now with their noses in front, Braunschweig currently occupy 12th place in the table and get some breathing room in the relegation battle. However, there's still 30 minutes to play here...

Münster are now acting a bit more cautiously. The visitors are allowing Braunschweig to build play up and are only instigating the press from inside their own half.

An intense and physical first half comes to an end in Braunschweig. The hosts repeatedly put Münster under pressure with high pressing and have created good opportunities, especially from set-pieces, but have so far failed to convert their best chance through Ehlers. Münster have struggled in the build-up, but have created danger through counter-attacks and even had a curious goal disallowed. All to play for in the second half!

Neither side wants to risk much before the half-time whistle and are positioning themselves much deeper in the build-up.

After a corner from the hosts, the ball is cleared far. At the halfway line, there's a misunderstanding between Kastrati and Bell Bell and the pair collide, allowing Batista Meier to run free towards the goal. He scores, but the Preußen man had handled the ball in the build-up and so the goal won't stand.

Münster appear significantly more aggressive in the press, needing only about ten seconds to win the ball back on average, compared to the hosts' 18.

Braunschweig are repeatedly setting up quick counter-attacks. The visitors are visibly struggling with this, but have so far managed to intercept the decisive pass each time.

Braunschweig look to quickly transition after an attack from the visitors, but Jaeckel impedes Marie in the midfield and prevents the counter-attack, for which he receives the first booking of the match.

Münster are having real problems with the high pressing from the hosts. Too often in their build-up play, they are losing possession of the ball and are repeatedly resorting to long balls. As a result, Braunschweig are regularly creating dangerous situations.

So far, much of the proceedings has taken place in the middle of the park, with both sides being very combative in their early duels. Hendrix takes out Marie at the halfway line and the Braunschweig players immediately protest to the referee to demand the first card, but the official won't be swayed and awards just a free-kick.

Alexander Ende makes just two changes to his starting eleven compared to last week's 3-2 home defeat to Kaiserslautern, bringing in Marco Meyerhöfer and Jorrit Hendrix in place of Torge Paetow (bench) and Tobias Raschl (not selected).

Heiner Backhaus makes four changes to the starting line-up he fielded in last week's 3-1 defeat to Elversberg, bringing in: Kastrati, Aydin, Bell Bell and Yardimci. Hoffmann misses out with a hip issue, whilst Di Michele Sanchez, Flick and Mijatovic take their places amongst the substitutes.
