Baur again and again
The fastest player of the match has also been one of the most noticeable, and is putting in a class performance here.

Going through the motions
The match is settling down, with both teams seemingly having accepted the current scoreline.
82'
Showing fight
After grabbing their second goal, Hertha have been making an effort to get back into the game. Seguin delivers a delicate free-kick from the right half-space into the penalty area. Winkler rises high and gets his head to the ball, but puts it wide of the right post.
80'
Firsts for both sides
For the first time under Kettemann, Paderborn have scored five goals in a game. The last time this happened was in March 2025 in the 5-3 win against Kaiserslautern. Under Leitl, Hertha also conceded at least five goals in a single game for the first time. The last time this happened was in September 2023 in the memorable 6-4 defeat in Magdeburg (where Hertha led four times).

What's still possible here?
Reese's gaze turns to the stadium clock. Less than 15 minutes remain for the Hertha players to achieve a small football miracle.
74'
Frustration
After a foul, Seguin thinks the hosts are taking too long and pushes Curda over, earning himself a yellow card from the referee.
71'
It's raining goals
What's going on here? Reese applies a lot of pressure on Brackelmann, who concedes possession to the Hertha man. With his cross, he finds Brekalo, who volleys the ball into the net to make it 5-2.

Penalty given!
Hertha invite pressure from Paderborn concede the penalty. Marino is found with a long ball. Ernst rushes out of his box and takes him out. The referee makes no hesitation as he points to the spot.
62'
Negative milestone in sight for Hertha
Having conceded a total of 798 goals in Bundesliga 2, two more strikes for Paderborn would see Hertha surpass the 800-mark.
60'
Woodwork!
Bauer invites Reese in with a mistake, who immediately takes a shot which rattles the post! The subsequent corner reaches Reese again, but this time, Curda manages to block it.
56'
Paderborn keep pushing
A free-kick from Bauer from the right half-space is flicked on by Curda with his head. Klemens sticks his boot in to try and intervene and accidentally puts the ball into the back of his own net. However, according to the VAR, Curda was offside when he headed the ball on, so the goal is disallowed.

Slippery surface
Hertha could almost have pulled one back there. Seimem slips in his own penalty area and the ball lands at Brekalo's feet but the Berlin man doesn't manage to get a shot away. That could've been calamitous for Paderborn...

Back underway!
The ball is rolling for the second half here. Hertha coach Stefan Leitl makes a rare triple personnel change at the interval, replacing Eitschberger with Kolbe, Cuisance with Klemens, and goalscorer Schuler with Brekalo. Can his substitutions help the Capital club find their way back into this one?

Another chance goes begging
45'
Could've been 3-1!
Obermair whips in another cross from the left. At the far post, Müller rushes in completely unmarked and just needs to nod the ball in. However, the Paderborn player puts the ball a matter of inches wide of the post.
42'
Missed opportunity
After Paderborn squandered the chance to make it 3-0, they now lead by only one goal. Nevertheless, the hosts aren't disheartened and are continuing to apply pressure and set the tone here.
40'
Out of nowhere! Deficit halved
Suddenly the Old Lady is back in this and with their first shot of the match, no less! A mistake from Scheller comes back to haunt Paderborn as Seguin intercepts the ball and shifts it on to Winkler. He then finds Schuler in the middle, who finds the back of the net with an improvised finish with his heel.
35'
Tough one to take
Klaas cannot continue with what seems to be a muscular issue and has to leave the pitch. The scorer of the opener had been limping for some time. He is replaced by Bätzner.

No way through for Reese

Almost a third!
Marino has an effort on goal, forcing Ernst to stretch to tip it round the post, preventing a third for the hosts. The subsequent corner is delivered well again. Leistner clears it straight to Klaas's feet, who volleys it, however, it lands straight in the gloves of the Hertha keeper.

Paderborn counter-pressing well
While the Old Lady needs an average of 20 seconds to recover the ball after losing possession, the hosts manage to do it in less than eight,

Heating up on the left flank
The duel between Obermair and Eitschberger continues. This time, it's the Berlin player who comes out on top. Obermair at least manages to win a corner, but it doesn't yield anything for Paderborn.

No danger
Seguin delivers the ball into the penalty area from a free-kick, but Seimen is on the spot and punches the ball clear.

Executing their game plan
After taking the lead, Paderborn continue to be active. Castaneda tries a shot from distance but it sails well over Ernst's goal.

First shot
Ernst has to make his first intervention. Obermair powers through on the left wing and drives into the penalty area. There, he tries to finish from a tight angle near the byline, but Hertha's keeper Ernst is on hand.
3'
Quick counter-attack
Seguin plays a ball to Marino's feet. He is able to stretch his legs and pick up pace for the first time, but the move doesn't end up being particularly dangerous.

And we're off!
We're underway here in Paderborn. Which team can keep the pressure on the top spots?

Good omen
The previous record between these sides bode well for the Old Lady. In the last four encounters between these two clubs, the away team has won every time.
Returnees on the benches
For Paderborn, top scorer Bilbija, who had missed the last three matches, returns to the squad as a substitute. Meanwhile at Hertha, Kolbe makes his return to the squad for the first time in the second half of the season, after recovering from a long-term injury.
More on that Hertha side
Hertha coach Stefan Leitl returns to the touchline following his one-game suspension and tweaks his starting line-up in two positions. Winkler is preferred over Brekalo, whilst veteran Leistner also starts in favour of Klemens. How this will look in defence - whether Dardai will move to the number six position or there will be a back three for the first time since Matchday 4 - remains to be seen.
Third start for Müller
The third change to Paderborn's starting XI comes in the form of Müller. The 20-year-old had only started on Matchdays 7 and 8 before, with Paderborn walking away as winners against both Kaiserslautern and Braunschweig those days.
More on that Paderborn side
There were concerns over Brackelmann's wellbeing after the severe head injury he sustained at the start of the second half of the season in Kiel, but fortunately he has recovered well. Last week, he came off the bench to play 45 minutes, and today he's back among the starters for the first time since the injury. Sticker makes way for him. Marino also gets the nod from Ralf Kettemann in attack, replacing Paderborn's record goalscorer Michel. Perhaps this is a good omen for the hosts as Marino started on two prior occasions: on Matchday 11 against Fürth and Matchday 12 at Magdeburg, both of which Paderborn won.
