The Cloverleaves are now aiming the ball high and long, but Magdeburg continue to defend the high balls well and aren't letting anything dangerous develop.

Can the Franconians find a late leveller?

Both clubs continue to give their all and fight for every ball. Nevertheless, Magdeburg maintain their slender advantage.

Both teams seem exhausted. Magdeburg just want to somehow conserve their narrow lead until the final whistle.

What can Fürth get out of this game? At the moment, there's little happening at either end, with the energy seeming to have dissipated from both teams. If Fürth want to equalise, they need to up the ante soon.

Just under 20 minutes left to play and Fürth continue to press forward. Currently, however, the Franconians are not creating any dangerous chances in front of goal, with Magdeburg well-organised at the back and offering very little space.

Both teams are allowing themselves a breather in this phase. Understandable, as the play has been going almost non-stop from one penalty area to the other and back again.

Thirty minutes left on the clock and every outcome is still possible. The Cloverleaves are naturally taking more risks as the game progresses, which in turn opens up more space for the visitors up front. Currently, though, Fürth are piling on the pressure, while Magdeburg haven't produced anything going forward for quite some time.

The Franconians are now clearly seeing more possession and keep pressing forward as a result. Fürth want to equalise here, while Magdeburg are currently too passive.

This 5-4 scoreline is the same score as in the first meeting between the two this season, although Fürth were the winners on that occasion. Today though, there are still 40 more minutes to go - plenty more can happen.

Fürth have no offensive plan in the final third, with Magdeburg defending confidently and without much effort. The hosts are showing no goal threat whatsoever.

Fürth are now a long way back. This is one-way traffic, with the hosts seemingly in a state of shock.

This two-goal deficit leaves the Cloverleaves with a mountain to climb now. Still, there's enough time left on the clock to turn the tide.

Both teams are looking to push forward, which has made this a great watch. The two head coaches on the sideline, however, would certainly prefer a calmer encounter.

After just over 15 minutes played, three goals have already been scored. Let's hope it continues like this.

Fürth will hold a minute of silence in tribute to long-serving team doctor, Dr. Harald Hauer, who passed away last weekend. They will pay their respects immediately after the coin toss, with both teams and the referee team participating.

Fürth's Noel Futkeu scored twice in that 5-4 victory at Magdeburg. The striker has found the net in each of his last three appearances against the east German club, scoring four goals overall.
