Dortmund building for title push

“Attack wins you games; defence wins you titles” goes the famous football saying. With the best defence in the league and the most clean sheets, Dortmund continue to match Bayern – not only in Der Klassiker. They also have a penchant for late goals, with seven of their 14 strikes coming in the last 10 minutes of games - once again demonstrated by Fabio Silva in Munich. At the same juncture last season, they were already seven points behind their arch-rivals. Their unbeaten start to the domestic campaign is further proof of their improvement under Niko Kovač, who was rewarded with a contract extension in October. Entering November level on points with Bayern, Dortmund are looking rock solid and set for a title tussle.
