Schalke will secure the Bundesliga 2 title if they beat Fortuna Düsseldorf at home and second-placed Paderborn fail to win at fellow promotion hopefuls Elversberg.

Promotion

Victory over Düsseldorf will rubber-stamp the Royal Blues' return to the top flight, but Miron Muslić's side might not need all three points at the VELTINS-Arena.

A draw will be enough if third-placed Hannover fail to beat bottom-of-the-table Preußen Münster. Even if Düsseldorf win in Gelsenkirchen, Schalke will be promoted if Hannover lose to Münster and fourth-placed Elversberg fail to beat Paderborn.

The Royal Blues will be guaranteed at least a promotion play-off spot if they draw with Fortuna, Elversberg fail to beat Paderborn and Hannover lose to Münster.
