There are 16 on the shortlist for player of the 2025/26 Bundesliga 2 season so far, including leading scorer Younes Ebnoutalib - former of Elversberg but now with Eintracht Frankfurt - 2025 Goal of the Year winner Ivan Prtajin of Kaiserslautern and Schalke goalkeeper Loris Karius.

Whether it's through goals, crucial tackles or brilliant saves, all of the nominees have made their mark on Germany's second division during the first half of the season.

- Marvin Wanitzek (Karlsruhe)
- Alexander Bernhardsson (Holstein Kiel)
The 16 nominees will go head-to-head in one-on-one match-ups from 2pm CET each day this week, leading to the final from Thursday.
