Selke netted in the decisive 6-1 win over Ulm on Matchday 32 that saw the club seal their return to the top flight for the first time since 2018. He said in the ensuing celebrations: "I am delighted this club are back where they belong."
The former RB Leipzig, Hertha Berlin and Cologne striker will return to the Bundesliga next season having been crowned the top player in the second tier - seeing off stiff competition from Kaiserslautern's Ragnar Ache in the final vote.
