Fabian Drescher is the new president of Hertha Berlin. The previously provisional president was elected with over 80 per cent of the vote.
A total of 3,651 valid votes were cast. Wolfgang Sidka received 64, Uwe Dinnebier received 582, Olaf Brandt received seven and Stepan Timoshin received 15 votes. Fabian Drescher accepted the result of the election.
This means that the interim president has become the official successor to former president Kay Bernstein, who passed away unexpectedly in January.
