Fürth not afraid of going to Bochum

Fürth have picked up points in 11 of their 14 away trips to Bochum in Bundesliga 2 (five wins, six draws).

Hofmann likes facing former club

Philipp Hofmann played for Fürth in the first half of the 2017/18 season (nine appearances and one goal). He has scored in each of his last seven competitive matches against his former club, netting 10 goals in total (seven in Bundesliga 2, three in the DFB Cup). Against no other team has Hofmann scored more goals in his career (also 10 vs. Darmstadt).

The last encounter came only three weeks ago when Bochum won 2-1 at Fürth in the first round of the DFB Cup despite the hosts leading 23-7 when it came to shots on goal. Philipp Hofmann and Christian Rasmussen scored for Bochum, with Maxim Dal netting a consolation goal.

Bochum have won their last six competitive matches against Fürth (two of them in the Bundesliga when when both sides were promoted in 2021). Last season, following a 3-0 home defeat against Bochum, Fürth coach Thomas Kleine was dismissed and current coach Heiko Vogel took over.
