With Hannover still pushing for promotion, the 27-year-old centre-back may yet still have an important role to play in the final stretch of the season.

Christian Titz makes two changes to the line-up he fielded in last week's draw with Paderborn. In the first half of the season, Matsuda (pictured) was a regular down the right, though in the second half of the campaign, his nailed-on-starter status dwindled somewhat. Today he gets to start for the first time in 2026 - ahead of Virgil Ghiță. Bundu is also preferred to Yokota.

There's also a rare start for Fukuda (pictured) as the Japanese gets the nod ahead of shooting star Ben Farhat, who takes his place on the bench. 15 of Fukuda's last 16 appearances have been from off the bench, with his only start coming in the 5-1 defeat in Nuremberg on Matchday 22.
