It was a deserved three points for Lieberknecht's men against a Fortuna team that put up a decent fight even after the sending off, but were ultimately unable to deal with the home side's counter-attacking prowess.

Lautern have squandered an unbelievable chance here! After Düsseldorf lose possession, Şahin and Skyttä run completely unmarked from the halfway line, two-on-one against Kastenmeier. Instead of squaring it for a certain goal, Şahin goes for it himself but is denied by the Düsseldorf goalkeeper. Astonishing stuff.

Ritter's corner kick lands perfectly on the head of the central defender whose header is a powerful one and flies just over the crossbar from about five metres out. That would have been a deserved opener for the home side.
