Full-time: Dresden 6-0 Preußen Münster

Dresden set the tone from the start with Bobzien (14' and 18') and Hauptmann (31') making it 3-0 before half-time. In the second half, Hauptmann struck again (57'), and Vermeij (59') and Ceka (74') also add their names to the scoresheet. The home victory for the Saxons is absolutely deserved, even by this margin.

Half a dozen is complete!

The final phase is slowly approaching

Around 20 minutes left to play here and the match is of course long decided. For Münster, it's only about damage limitation in the final phase.
70'

Double substitution for Dynamo

Müller and Herrmann come on for Keller and Hauptmann.
67'

No danger

Hendrix shoots from 22 metres out in a central position, the ball flies clearly over the crossbar. At least it's a shot from the visitors.
66'

Telling scene

Ter Horst crosses from the right to the middle but the ball lands in the defence of the home side. Typical of the Westphalians' performance today.
63'

Will Dynamo break the record?

Dresden have never scored six goals in a second division match before. Now the Saxons have just under half an hour to break this club record.

Another substitution for the Westphalians

Now Vermeij scores!

An absolute thrashing for Preußen! Schenk plays an unchallenged misplaced pass from the back towards Heuer, where Veremeij is lurking. Subsequently, the striker finds himself clear through on goal, rounds the keeper to the right and then slots it into the empty net from very close range.

Another!

Dresden make it 4-0! And now Hauptmann also bags a brace! The midfielder is played in on the left side of the penalty area by Vermeij, who does brilliantly against Jaeckel. Hauptmann then keeps his cool and slots it into the bottom right corner from 14 metres. Schenk stretches but can't reach it.

Half-time: Dresden 3-0 Preußen Münster

Dresden set the tone from the start, and after just over a quarter of an hour, the hosts went 2-0 up thanks to a brace from Bobzien (14' and 18'). Shortly after, Hauptmann made it 3-0 (31'). Preußen are completely out of the match and will need a miracle in the second half to come back.

Triple chance for Dresden

Crazy scene! Vermeij bursts into the box with pace from the right, rounds the onrushing Schenk on the left side of the box but then gets stuck. The ball bounces over to Bobzien, who immediately fires from 13 metres out centrally but is denied by Schenk. Then the ball falls to Ceka's feet, who shoots from 14 metres and narrowly misses the target, the ball flying just past the right post.

Offensive foul

Schreiber wants to pluck a high ball on the right side of the six-yard box, Vilhelmsson jumps into the keeper, who drops the ball as a result. Wienefeld immediately blows his whistle for the action, and play continues with a free-kick for the hosts.
42'

Mees with the chance

Good opportunity for the visitors! Following a corner from the right, Mees gets a shot away from seven metres out on the left side of the penalty area, aiming for the bottom right corner. Schreiber is already beaten, but Keller is perfectly positioned on the goal line and prevents the ball from going in.
40'

Five minutes to go

The first half is slowly coming to an end. Can the visitors at least score to make it 1-3 before the break?
38'

First substitution of the match

Meyerhöfer, who has already been booked, is done for the day before the half-time break. Makridis comes on for him.
37'

Blocked at the last second

Ceka gets a shot away from the right-hand side of the penalty area from 13 metres out, but Meyerhöfer desperately sticks his boot in and blocks the shot.
34'

Münster completely unsettled

Nothing is working for the visitors at all, the entire team seems totally unsettled. Ende might have to make personnel changes before the half-time whistle.
31'

It's three!

Münster are falling apart! Rossipal boots the ball from the left side of his own half far forward and finds the advancing Hauptmann on the left side in front of the penalty area. The midfielder reacts quickly and pokes the ball past the onrushing Schenk, who looks anything but good there. The ball then rolls towards the goal and ultimately ends up in the bottom left corner.

26'

Too imprecise

Schulz delivers the ball from the right at full pace, playing it low across the box. Schreiber is already anticipating the cross and safely smothers the ball beneath him.
24'

Good from Rossipal

The left-back frees himself from pressure with ease and avoids playing a long ball forward. Instead, he passes to Wagner in midfield, allowing Dresden to maintain possession and build up play again.
21'

Dresden unleashed

The Saxons are superior in all aspects so far and are giving Münster hardly any breathing space.
19'

Top assist provider Hauptmann

With the two assists for Bobzien, the midfielder now has five assists to his name. That is the highest tally at Dynamo.
18'

Dresden extend their lead!

Bobzien bags a brace! Dresden press high, Meyerhöfer loses the ball in build-up play against Hauptmann. The midfielder consequently has a clear path down the right towards the penalty area and squares it across to the onrushing Bobzien on the left, ahead of the charging Schenk. Bobzien then calmly slots the ball into the back of the net.

Ter Horst at the last second

Pivotal clash

There's a lot at stake for both clubs today, as both teams are in the midst of a relegation battle. The winner of today's match will gain some breathing space and can jump to 12th, while the loser will end this matchday in 16th, the relegation play-off spot.

Unusual offensive duo

The recovered Mees and Vilhelmsson are both in the starting XI for the first time in the calendar year.

More on that Münster team

Coach Alexander Ende, on the other hand, makes four changes to his starting XI after their 2-1 defeat against Hertha Berlin. Jaeckel, Benger, Mees and Vilhelmsson start in place of Koulis, Preißinger, Yamada and Rondić (all on the bench).

More on that Dresden team

Following their 3-3 draw against Karlsruhe, head coach Thomas Stamm has opted not to make any changes to his starting XI and is therefore trusting the same players as last week.
camera-photo

Alexander Ende on facing Dresden

"They have some momentum behind them, and their confidence is growing. You can see the trust they have in their processes. They are outstanding at switching play. Man-to-man pressing can be effective against that."
camera-photo

What Thomas Stamm says

"It will be a tough piece of work. We will approach the match with a lot of conviction. But we also know that Münster has a lot of quality and is one of the teams that, like us, is at the bottom of the table."

Bad memories

Thomas Stamm experienced the lowest point of his coaching career so far against Münster. On 21 April 2024, a 2-0 defeat at the Preußenstadion sealed his relegation with Freiburg's U23 side from the 3. Liga with four matchdays still remaining in the season.

Familiar face

Oliver Batista Meier spent three years at Dresden, playing his first 13 Bundesliga 2 matches for them in the second half of 2021/22. In 38 competitive matches for Dynamo, he scored one goal.

Third division record

Dynamo played against Münster five times in the 3. Liga and Regionalliga and remained unbeaten (W3, D2).
