Crossbar!

Wide!
Weißhaupt crosses from the right into the centre, where Saad makes a run to the near post and sticks out his foot. But the ball goes wide of the right post.

Most away goals
Hannover's second of the night was their 21st goal away from home, which is clearly the most of all teams. In the entire previous season, Hannover scored only 18 away goals!

It could have been more
Yokota drives with pace down the right wing to the byline and then plays the ball inside, where Saad is unable to control the ball with his first touch.
41'
The club record is getting closer
Hannover have now scored in 14 consecutive away matches and could equal the club record in their next away game. The last time Hannover failed to score away from home was 10 months ago in Karlsruhe.
40'
Scoring streak continues
Hannover remain the only team that has scored in every away match this season.
38'
There it is!
Hannover play their way forward on the left via Källman, who breaks through and lays it across to Yokota. The pass isn't perfect, but the Japanese player stays cool and slots the ball through Reimann's legs.
37'
Painful
Müller requires treatment for a bloody lip after a collision with Aseko Nkili.
35'
Half-chance
A free-kick sails into Magdeburg's penalty area from the right, but Tomiak's effort is blocked.
31'
Close again!
From a deep cross into the centre of the box, Zukowski keeps his head down without jumping and misses the goal on the left by just centimetres. The attempt wasn't particularly powerful, but it was an excellent opportunity to break the deadlock.
30'
Very casual
Magdeburg are playing the ball well back and forth in their own half, without the high-pressing visitors getting close.
27'
Compact
Saad tries to break through on the left, but the home side are well positioned and don't leave any passing lanes open in the middle either.

Petrik Sander on facing Hannover
"Of course, the disappointment was immense after our defeat against Dresden. We have analysed the match and are now focusing on the next challenge against Hannover. It will be an exciting and tactically-driven match between two teams that both want to have possession of the ball."
Christian Titz on facing Magdeburg
"We're facing a side who are very strong on the ball and try to press teams high up the pitch. Magdeburg have picked up good points recently. I will meet many old acquaintances and I'm looking forward to the match."
Familiar face
Christian Titz was Magdeburg coach for over four years. He took over Magdeburg in February 2021 in a relegation spot in the 3. Liga, steered them to survival, and earned promotion a year later. Afterwards, he successfully established Magdeburg in Bundesliga 2, even helping them compete in the race for promotion last season before ultimately finishing in fifth.
Hannover's home away from home
In their last three home matches against Hannover, Magdeburg have suffered three defeats, with a goal difference of -10 (3-0, 3-0, 4-0).
