Two Dresden alterations

Goalkeeper Grill is out with a knee injury, so Schreiber starts between the sticks. Fröling also comes in for Hauptmann, who is absent through illness.

Five changes for Lautern

Lieberknecht brings in Hanslik, Joly, Robinson, Haas and goalkeeper Krahl. Simoni, Kleinhansl, Elvedi and Abiama drop to the bench, while Prtajin is absent with a muscle injury.

Torsten Lieberknecht on facing Dresden

"We've continued to instil belief in the lads so they can show what they're capable of here at home. I have faith in my team, in my coaching staff and in myself that we will overcome this situation together – along with our supporters."
camera-photo

Thomas Stamm on facing Kaiserslautern

"Kaiserslautern are at home and it's a bit different there. Anyone who saw the match on Tuesday [against Hertha in the DFB Cup] can put it into perspective. Of course they have their issues, but they also should've taken the lead in Berlin and then it could become a different match. I won't overrate the result, because the match wasn't as clear-cut as it seems."

Familiar face

In Dresden's first trip to the Betze in 1991 in the Bundesliga, current assistant coach Heiko Scholz was sent off following a second yellow card as Dynamo lost 4-1.

No way through

Dynamo have kept clean sheets in their last three matches in Kaiserslautern (0-0, twice 1-0). The last home goal for the Palatinate side against Dresden was scored by Jaques Zoua in September 2016, in a 3-0 victory (Bundesliga 2).

Previous meeting

Kaiserslautern and Dresden last met in May 2022 in the relegation play-off. The first leg at the Betze ended goalless, while in the return match, third-division side FCK won 2-0 at Dynamo and secured promotion to Bundesliga 2.
