Full-time: Bochum 1-1 Heidenheim

Keven Schlotterbeck scored at both ends of the pitch as Bochum and Heidenheim shared the spoils at the Vonovia Ruhrstadion. Both teams had seen goals ruled out by video technology before Schlotterbeck looked to have handed the visitors victory with a calamitous own-goal. He made amends, however, with a dramatic equaliser in injury-time, which keeps Bochum one point clear of the bottom three.

Schlotterbeck levels!

After being at fault for Heidenheim's opener, Schlotterbeck now scores at the correct end, flicking home a header at the near post to pull his team level. That could be a very important goal come the end of the season.

Is this the winner?

We finally have a breakthrough in Bochum and it's the visitors who go in front in almost farcical fashion. Keven Schlotterbeck is attempting to clear the ball but he gets into an awful position and his clearance loops into the back of the net.

Another goal disallowed

With just about half an hour to play, Bochum are the ones who this time see a goal ruled out. Asano lashes home from 10-yards but the technology spots a foul in the build-up and we remain at 0-0.

Stöger goes close

The first real sight of goal in Bochum comes from the left boot of Kevin Stöger. His bending shot from the left edge of the Heidenheim box can only find the side-netting, though.

Butscher's thoughts on Heidenheim

"Heidenheim are an incredibly compact team. They have endless discipline. That's what got them into the situation they're in now. They are absolutely right to be in this position in the table. Of course, we know Eren Dinkçi, Jan-Niklas Beste and Tim Kleindienst. They have outstanding quality. But we also know what makes them so strong. We have addressed that and are prepared for it. I've known Frank Schmidt for a very, very long time. He's an incredibly good coach and has a really good, nasty team. They rightly have this number of points."

Schmidt's thoughts on Bochum

"We have a lot of experience with teams changing coaches before our game. The question is what Heiko Butscher plans to do now. That's why we'll try to keep the game as simple and compact as possible. This will be a completely different game than the one we last had against FC Bayern. Now there will be more duels and more second balls and we have to be prepared for that.”

Points needed under Butscher

Heiko Butscher is taking over as Bochum coach until the end of the season. His first task will be to reverse a run of form that has seen the club claim just one point in six matches.
