- Leverkusen face Tottenham on Matchday 3 in the Champions League.
- Two draws for Bayer in Group E so far.
- Hosts come into the game on the back of defeat to Bremen.
Bayer 04 Leverkusen will celebrate their 100th UEFA Champions League outing this Tuesday when English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur FC visit in Group E (kick-off 20:45CEST/18:45GMT).
Roger Schmidt's side are unbeaten in Europe this term, though their current points haul of two could so easily have been six. Leverkusen were 2-0 up before drawing 2-2 with CSKA Moskva on the opening day, while AS Monaco needed a 94th-minute equaliser to steal a 1-1 draw last time out.
Those results have left them third in the standings, though a win at the BayArena could be enough to send them top.

They will be particularly motivated to earn all three points after a disappointing showing away to SV Werder Bremen on Saturday, which resulted in a 2-1 defeat, their third loss of 2016/17.
Consistency has been an issue for Roger Schmidt's charges in the current campaign, but dominating performances, as seen in their 2-0 win over Borussia Dortmund, are proof that die Werkself are more than capable of competing on multiple fronts. A win on Tuesday night against Spurs would be the perfect way to get the ball rolling again on both the European and domestic stage.
