Borussia Dortmund will be missing the suspended Marco Reus, who was sent off in the weekend's 2-2 draw with TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, and he is likely to be replaced by fellow German international Andre Schürrle. Gonzalo Castro is expected to return to the starting line-up after recovering from a rib injury, while Ousmane Dembele – who had to be stretchered off with heavy bruising against TSG – is fit to play.

FC Augsburg left-back Philipp Max was forced to come off in his side's 1-0 win over Borussia Mönchengladbach on Saturday due to a thigh injury, and won't be in action again until 2017. He will most likely be replaced in the starting line-up by Greek international Konstantinos Stafylidis. Dominik Kohr is available again after suspension, and could take the place of Jan Moravek in midfield.
