Hoofddorp, Netherlands - FC Bayern München's and Borussia Dortmund's Robert Lewandowski are on a shortlist of 15 strikers to make the FIFA FIFPro World XI 2013.

Well represented

Mandzukic’s 15 league goals last season helped Bayern reclaim the Bundesliga title, while he also scored in the final of the UEFA Champions League against Dortmund at Wembley. Polish international Lewandowski currently leads the Bundesliga scoring chart with 11 goals this season and netted 24 in 2012/13 as Jürgen Klopp's side finished runners-up to the Reds.

The 25-year-old was also instrumental in BVB's run to the Champions League final, scoring a sensational four times in his side's semi-final first leg against European giants Real Madrid CF.

A host of other Bundesliga stars are also in the running to make the World XI - voted for by professional footballers across the world - including Marco Reus in the midfielders' category and Dante as defenders.

The final XI will be announced at a ceremony in Zurich, Switzerland on 13 January 2014, where the winner of the prestigious FIFA Ballon D'Or will also be unveiled. Flying the Bundesliga flag running for football's highest individual honour is Bayern's Franck Ribery, with the Frenchman competing against Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo and FC Barcelona's Lionel Messi.
