They were in control from the outset against a heavily rotated Norway side, as Dembélé's 32-minute hat-trick took the game away from the Vikings in the first-half. Norway had chances to get back into it in the second period, most notably through Strand Larsen's penalty, but the Palace man couldn't convert. The win for France means they could face Germany in the Round of 16, and on current form, they'll surely take some stopping.

Doué adds a fourth goal! France wrap up the three points - and indeed the group win - in style. Barcola crosses the ball to Doué in the centre of the Norway box, who expertly heads the ball beyond the helpless Selvik. However, they lack the precision in the final third to make this a nervy finish for France.

Bayern man makes way Upamecano is replaced by Real Madrid new boy Konate for the final 15 minutes or so.

First yellow card for France Tchouameni goes in too aggressively on Aasgaard, which results in a booking for the Frenchman.

What a chance for Bobb! Norway race away on the counter and goalscorer Aasgaard is able to find Bobb on the right side of the French penalty area. He pulls the trigger, but his effort at goal is well saved by Maignan, who has kept his side in the lead this half. Norway are running out of time to level this one.

Second hydration break There will be a three-minute pause in proceedings as the players take on fluids.

Both sides make changes Barcola and Cherki are on for the French, replacing Olise and hat-trick hero Dembélé. Meanwhile, Norway swap Falchener for Langås.

Wide from Lacroix From a fairly central area, Olise curls a delicious free-kick into the Norway box. Lacroix is there to meet it at the back post, but he can't quite convert from a narrow angle.

Selvik receives treatment The keeper looks to have taken a knock while scrambling to save Mbappé's shot. He notches his third goal of the game with an almost identical finish to his first two, after drilling the ball into the far corner of Selvik's net from the right corner of the penalty area. For Ecuador, however, this victory marks only the second time they have reached the knockout rounds of a World Cup.

Wild effort Following a long throw-in from Beier, the ball is cleared high before dropping for Groß, who tries with an ambitious left-footed half-volley on the turn. It took Nagelsmann's side just two minutes to establish their lead through Sané, but Ecuador drew level minutes later thanks to Angulo's long-ranged stunner, which marked the South American's first goal of the tournament. Given that it's a must-win for Ecuador, Germany had to weather a lot of pressure throughout the half, with Tah proving integral at the back. Musiala and Wirtz have been Germany's brightest sparks in attack, but Nagelsmann's side will need to hone their precision after the interval if they're to claim their first perfect group-stage campaign since hosting in 2006.

Bundling through Wirtz brings down a cross from the left inside the Ecuador box. Will there be late drama in the first half here?

Quickfire bookings Both sides are shown their first yellow cards of the match in rapid succession. Hincapié is cautioned for impeding Sané by pulling his shirt before Pavlović's name is taken for a foul on Valencia.

Clever run Musiala looks along the line to stay onside before latching onto a through ball from Raum down the left flank. Waiting for support to arrive, he stands his man up before trying to pick Havertz out with a low cross using the outside of his right boot. However, the ball is cleared from the six-yard box before it can reach the former Leverkusen star.

Bursting from deep Nmecha gets into his stride in the middle of the park before attempting an effort from just over 20 yards out. His shot is blocked at source, however.

Musiala forces the corner Wirtz drives at the opposition defence from the heart of midfield. To his left, Musiala had made a good run in behind, and the Liverpool man finds him, but the No.10's left-footed strike is blocked by a last-ditch attempt from Ordóñez. Germany don't make anything of the resultant set-piece.

Tah holds firm A counter-attack opens up for Ecuador.
