Full-time: Frankfurt 3-1 Kiel

Eintracht continued their first half dominance after the break. Uzun made it three at the hour-mark, pouncing on a loose pass from Zec before finishing calmly. Kiel managed to get one back through Porath just 15 minutes later and enjoyed a spell which worried the hosts, but they couldn't find another and Frankfurt ultimately managed to hold onto their lead for the three points. Kiel's search for an away Bundesliga win continues as they remain bottom after Matchday 22, whilst Frankfurt cement their place in third.

An invaluable third?

Frankfurt's third from the recently-departed Uzun has seemingly become even more important after Kiel got one back and have been playing on the front foot since.

Porath pulls one back!

Kiel continue their record of scoring in every Bundesliga away game this season. Arp plays Porath through down the right, whose initial two attempts are saved by Trapp, but land right back at his feet each time. On the third time of asking, he slots it home into the left corner. Could there be a late comeback here?

Half-time: Frankfurt 2-0 Kiel

Following a hesitant start to the game, Eintracht assumed control over the course of the half, taking the lead through Larsson inside 20 minutes. They doubled their lead after Tuta volleyed home following a corner after half an hour. A penalty was the result of a VAR check just before half-time, which was announced by the referee to the stadium, but Ekitiké failed to convert, thanks to a great save from Dähne. The penalty save may provide some hope for the Storks, but the scoreline is certainly discouraging for the side who are yet to register an away win in the Bundesliga this season.

The xG may indicate that Frankfurt are good value for a two-goal lead, however they certainly deserve to have their noses in front here.

Dino Toppmöller on facing Kiel

"They have very good sequences of attacking play and recently scored a few goals from set pieces. We have to be dominant and not give our opponents the ball too often. We want to keep the game away from our goal, keep Kiel busy in defence and constantly be in our opponents' third."

Marcel Rapp's thoughts on Frankfurt

"[In Frankfurt] we're facing a team that is very good, that has a lot of talented players, and a good game plan, so it'll be a real challenge for us. We've always put in decent performances away from home in games like this, so we're looking forward to it and we're going there with full conviction, knowing just how difficult the task is."
