DRAMA TO END THINGS LEVEL

A fantastic game from start to finish between RB Leipzig and Freiburg. The home side dominating most of the proceedings, but going behind to Manuel Gulde's flick from a corner. It took more than 15 attempts on goal - and 77 minutes - for Leipzig to equalise through Poulsen, but Robin Koch thought he'd found a winner in the final seconds with a tap-in from inside the box, but Lucas Höler was in an offside position after a check from Video-Assist.

SO CLOSE FOR SCHICK

The substitute almost flicks the ball in from Angelino's low cross, but couldn't make contact with the low cross from the left.

WILL WE FIND A WINNER!?

Just minutes remaining now in Leipzig with both sides looking for a winner. Leipzig looking the most likely, but can they make the comeback complete?
77'

POULSEN FINALLY FINDS A GOAL!

It's in for Leipzig and it comes from Poulsen. A fantastic cross into the box from Kampl on the left flank and the Denmark foward rises highest to meet it and power a header into the far side of the goal. Can Leipzig go on and get a winner, or will Freiburg now respond?

NOW POULSEN GOES WIDE!

Another big chance for Leipzig goes begging, this time Poulsen find in front of goal by Nkunku. He shoots from the edge of the box, but sends his effort high over the Freiburg crossbar.
73'

WERNER SHOT SAVED!

What a chance that was for Leipzig with Lookman breaking through the middle before playing Werner in on goal. The angle worked against him, but Werner was still able to get a shot on target only to see it tipped wide of goal by Schwolow.

ALL LEIPZIG HERE

The home side have had 15 attempts on goal so far, to Freiburg's four. But the most important stat is the scoreline, of course.
60'

CHANCE AFTER CHANCE!

First Werner powers his way into the box before cutting back to Kampl. His strike is cleared off the line but gathered by Adams, and he allows Werner to find Poulsen in the box, but his header goes wide of the mark. Leipzig all over Freiburg here.
56'

LOOKMAN BLUSHES SAVED

The Englishman is found in front of goal by Kampl's ball over the top and really must get his shot on target at the very least. But instead misfires and can't hit the target, but was in an offside position and the goal - had it been scored - would not have stood.
55'

POULSEN NOW...

Werner wins the ball back for Leipzig and sends Nkunku forward. He finds Lookman, who in turn plays Poulsen in behind, but the Dane's drive across goal drags wide of the mark again. Leipzig not clinical in front of goal as they usually are.
53'

HALSTENBERG HAS A GO!

The Leipzig centre-back strikes at goal from the edge of the box and forces a solid save from Schwolow as the home side continue to push on.

REMINDER

Teams in the Bundesliga are now allowed to make five substitutions per match. Lookman the first today.

SECOND HALF UNDERWAY

Ademola Lookman is on at the break, on for Nordi Mukiele as Leipzig look to change things up in attack.

BIG CHANCE FOR GÜNTER

The captain does superbly to control a pass over the top into the Leipzig box. He quickly brings the ball down and fires a shot across goal, but it drags just wide past Gulacsi's post.
38'

LEIPZIG BACK ON THE BALL

The home side have been all over this game once again since going behind. A real "against the run of play" goal from Freiburg, with Leipzig enjoying much more of the attacking play thus far. But Freiburg's defence standing firm and Nagelsmann will need to re-think some things to work a way through.
34'

GULDE PUTS FREIBURG AHEAD!

The centre-back has opened the scoring for Freiburg. A lovely touch from a corner taken by Vincenzo Grifo towards the near post, and Gulde flicks the ball through his own legs and into the far bottom corner. Fancy way to put your side ahead, Manuel.

HAVE WE SEEN THIS BEFORE?

This game has the feel of the reverse fixture between these two sides earlier in the season. Leipzig starting the better of the two sides before Freiburg woke up into the game more in the second half, and eventually winning 2-1 at the Schwarzwald-Stadion.

CHANCES KEEP COMING

This time it's Adams who clips the ball towards goal after timing his run to meet a cross from the left, but his effort slides just wide of the Freiburg goal.
21'

NEITHER SIDE SHOWING RUST

Leipzig have certainly been playing as we're used to seeing them. Intense from the start, good passing and using speed to get through defences. While Freiburg have been sat back for the most part, they are certainly getting forward when possible. Still no attempts on the Leipzig goal for Streich's side, however.
13'

LEIPZIG FORCING SAVES

Werner is sent racing away down the right and reaches the Freiburg box before shooting at goal. His effort is saved well by Schwolow at the near post and the rebound dealt with after it fell to Laimer in the box.
11'

WERNER GETTING GOING

The first chance for Werner to push forward as he picks up possession on the left wing and breaks forward. A pass is played left to Poulsen and his shot is blocked by Gulde and goes behind for a corner. Freiburg defending things well thus far.
8'

NKUNKU WITH THE CHANCE

A cross into the box is cleared to the edge of the Freiburg box and it falls to Nkunku who has a go at goal. Schwolow is down well to parry the ball away, though.
3'

BOTH SIDES STARTING WELL

The first five minutes have seen both teams get good touches on the ball. Freiburg have also had half-chances, pushing for counter-attacks against Leipzig's control of the ball in the opening periods. But it's been an intense start as always in the Bundesliga.
2'

LAIMER HAS A GO!

The first shot on goal of the day for either side comes from Leipzig, Nkunku finding Laimer on the edge of the box and he goes for goal with his right foot. His shot drifts just wide of the mark.

KICK-OFF!

We're underway in Leipzig with the sun shining in the East of Germany.

HERE WE GO!

Kick-off is moments away here in the Red Bull Arena. The substitutes have taken their places at a safe distance on the side of the pitch and the players are ready in the tunnel.

TABLE REMINDER

After two months out of action, this is the perfect time to remind you of how things stand in the Bundesliga before the restart with 25 matches played for all but two teams. Leipzig sit third, just a point behind Dortmund - who are also in action today in the Revierderby against Schalke. While today's visitors, Freiburg, are also in the hunt for a European spot in 8th, just one point behind the Royal Blues in 6th with Wolfsburg sandwiched in between. Every point is vital at this stage of the season with only nine games to play for these two sides.

A FREIBURG SECRET TO VICTORY?

Die Breisgauer  have scored 10 of their last 14 goals from set-pieces. But star striker  Nils Petersen is now seven games without a goal since usurping Germany coach Joachim Löw as Freiburg's all-time leading scorer (84 goals/eight for the current season).

A FAVOURITE MATCH-UP FOR WERNER

The Germany forward has scored more goals against Freiburg than against any other Bundesliga club (10 in 11 games), including in each of his three home meetings with the Black Forest outfit as a Leipzig player.

LEIPZIG SEARCHING FOR FORM

Die Bullen had won only two of their previous seven Bundesliga matches before the break, surrendering a four-point lead over Bayern and turning it into a five-point deficit.

FREIBURG NOT HOLDING BACK

They may be away from home against one of the league's top sides, but Christian Streich has shown no fear in his line-up. Germany international Robin Koch continues in midfield behind a front-three of Vincenzo Grifo, Nils Petersen and Lucas Höler - all of whom have had bright spells of form during the 2019/20 season.

TIMO WERNER STARTS

Leipzig's No.11 and the club's top scorer for each of their four seasons in the Bundesliga thus far, Werner is fit and starts for Julian Nagelsmann's side once again. He will play off leading target man Yussuf Poulsen, who is in for Patrick Schick, the on-loan Roma forward struggling for fitness. Elsewhere, Marcel Sabitzer is on the place with Kevin Kampl starting in the centre of midfield.
