THANKS FOR TUNING IN!

It's certainly been an eventful Easter weekend, and there's still plenty to play for in the final four games of the Bundesliga season. In the meantime, do join us again on Tuesday and Wednesday for coverage of this week's DFB Cup semi-finals, with RB Leipzig travelling to Hamburg on Tuesday, and Bayern Munich facing Werder Bremen for the second time in the space of five days on Wednesday. Tschüß!

FULL-TIME: WOLFSBURG 1-1 FRANKFURT

Though they will be relieved to have rescued a point late in the day, Wolfsburg will surely be the more frustrated of the two sides tonight, particularly after dominating the second half. Knoche and Arnold both hit the woodwork as the hosts laid siege to the Frankfurt area, but it was the visitors who went ahead, totally against the run of play, through substitute Jonathan de Guzman. In the end there was to be no fourth straight away win for the Eagles as Brooks equalised late on, but that draw does move them two points ahead of Gladbach in the battle for fourth place. Wolfsburg meanwhile are four points off the final European spot with four games to go.

FINAL CORNER FOR WOLFSBURG

Brooks gets up to meet what feels like Wolfsburg's 100th corner of the night, but it's well wide of the target. That will be that.
90'

BROOKS LEVELS!

Yes they can! Klaus doesn't get the goal himself, but the substitute does brilliantly to get away down the Wolfsburg right, riding several challenges before squaring for the completely unmarked John Brooks to sweep into an empty net. That's no less than the Wolves deserve.

WEARY WOLVES

As you can imagine, that Frankfurt goal has taken the wind out of Wolfsburg's sails. Can they summon the energy for one final push, to maybe rescue a draw?
87'

FINAL CHANGE FOR WOLFSBURG

Felix Klaus is on for Ginczek as the hosts make their third and final change. We've already had one goal from a substitute this evening...
83'

REBIC DENIED

Ante Rebic comes streaking down the right for Frankfurt and looks to jink inside, but he is closed down by several men in green shirts. This would be rather a smash-and-grab win for the visitors if they can hold on for another six or seven minutes...
78'

DE GUZMAN SCORES!

Would you believe it! Frankfurt have the lead, completely against the run of play. Kostic has a go from distance, and his effort is deflected into the path of Jonathan de Guzman, who simply has to beat Pervan from close range. That's the slice of luck that Wolfsburg have been missing all game.

ARNOLD FROM DISTANCE!

Mehmedi taps a free-kick into the path of Arnold, who unleashes another fierce effort from range - Trapp can only parry it forwards, but Weghorst can't quite get to the follow-up. The Dutchman anticipated too early, if anything.
74'

WEGHORST AGAIN...

After soaking up some Frankfurt pressure for a few minutes, Wolfsburg break on the counter, with Mehmedi picking out Weghorst in the middle - he gets there just ahead of Trapp, but the Frankfurt keeper manages to stop the shot. The Eagles have had a bit of luck on their side but Trapp has had a good game.
70'

REBIC ON FOR JOVIC

We've already had a few changes, and now Luka Jovic is making way for Ante Rebic in the Frankfurt attack. The Eagles' top scorer didn't really get a look-in tonight.
64'

AND NOW THE POST!

It's just not happening for the Wolves. Mehmedi sends in yet another corner that Trapp punches clear, and Maximilian Arnold meets it with a superb first-time volley - that bounces out off the post. Will the hosts' pressure pay off at some point?
60'

WILLIAM WELL WIDE

Mehmedi knocks a corner out to Wolfsburg left-back William, but the Brazilian's long-distance effort is well off target. The men in green are in control.
57'

OFF THE BAR!

Things just aren't going Wolfsburg's way tonight! This time the hosts are denied by the woodwork as a corner comes in and centre-back Robin Knoche's header crashes back off the crossbar. Trapp was well beaten.
55'

ARNOLD BOOKED

Arnold is the first Wolfsburg player to get a yellow card after stopping Gacinovic in full flight. Hasebe takes the free-kick from inside the centre circle but it's an easy one for Pervan to gather. Neither keeper has been called into action in this second half so far.
51'

LATEST

A fairly balanced start to the second half, although with more intensity than the first five minutes of the opening period. There may be some tired legs in the Frankfurt ranks after their Europa League game against Benfica on Thursday - after all, Hütter only made two changes from that 2-0 success.
49'

YELLOW FOR RODE

A crunching tackle from the Frankfurt midfielder on Gerhardt and he follows Jovic into the book.

HALF-TIME: WOLFSBURG 0-0 FRANKFURT

It was a bit of a slow burner but in the end we've had an entertaining first half here at the Volkswagen Arena, and hosts Wolfsburg will be a little frustrated not to have the lead at the interval. They certainly had the better chances, with Weghorst seeing one effort cleared off the line by Hasebe and another tipped around the post by Trapp. Frankfurt began brightly but they have rarely threatened, with Pervan only making one meaningful save to deny Paciencia. It's all still to play for after the break!
45'

WOLVES ON THE CHARGE

Ginczek skips past three Frankfurt players on the edge of their area and goes down under pressure from Abraham, but the referee waves away shouts for a penalty. Wolfsburg are finishing the half strongly but they still haven't made the breakthrough. We're into three minutes of injury time.
43'

JOVIC BOOKED

That's Luka Jovic's first yellow card of the Bundesliga season. For the time being, Frankfurt's top scorer hasn't had much of an opportunity to add to his 17 league goals.
41'

GREAT SAVE!

Pervan is finally called into action as Paciencia gets on the end of an excellent ball into the area - the Wolfsburg keeper tips the Portuguese forward's header over the bar with an instinctive one-handed stop. Chances now coming at both ends - how long before we get a goal?
37'

CHANCES GALORE!

It's all starting to kick off at the Volkswagen Arena! Weghorst has another great chance, swivelling and volleying just wide after Gerhardt flicks a ball up into the air. Brooks then almost finds himself in a scoring position after a scramble in the Frankfurt area - but Trapp gets hold of it and sets Kostic away on the counter-attack - the Serbian drags his shot just wide. Phew!
35'

MEHMEDI AGAIN!

The Swiss frontman looks up for this! He stings Trapp's palms with a fierce drive from a tight angle, but the Frankfurt stopper parries it out for a corner that comes to nothing.
35'

CLOSE!

Frankfurt take a short corner and Rode whips in a cross that Paciencia heads just wide. It looked like it came off his teammate Luka Jovic...
31'

JUST OVER!

Mehmedi clips a neat ball into the Frankfurt area and Yannick Gerhardt is there to meet it, but he can't keep his header down. Wolfsburg have definitely had the better of the game's chances so far.
27'

FILIP ON FIRE

Kostic is Frankfurt's most dangerous player going forward so far - he's giving Tisserand all manner of headaches down his left flank. The visitors haven't really tested Pervan yet though - as I write that, Jovic is unable to get a shot away from close range after good cover from John Brooks.
25'

MEHMEDI FROM DISTANCE!

The Swiss international, who got the opening goal for Wolfsburg in the reverse fixture, tries his luck from distance - but it's a comfortable save for Kevin Trapp.
24'

OUCH!

Falette looks to clip the ball up the left flank and instead whacks Gerhardt full in the face. It looks like the Wolfsburg No.13 is OK though...
20'

HASEBE: RIGHT PLACE, RIGHT TIME!

Wolfsburg break on the counter after a Frankfurt free-kick comes to nothing, but Hasebe is once again perfectly placed to snuff out the danger. The Wolves are looking dangerous on the counter-attack.
15'

LATEST

Fifteen minutes gone at the Volkswagen Arena and we've had just the one shot for the time being - Frankfurt's Japanese veteran Hasebe preventing Wolfsburg top scorer Weghorst from netting his 13th goal of the campaign. The hosts are looking a little more dangerous after a quiet start.
10'

OFF THE LINE!

Wolfsburg make a first proper incursion into Frankfurt territory and they should take the lead - but Wout Weghorst's goal-bound shot is cleared off the line by Makoto Hasebe! A big let-off for the visitors.
8'

FRANKFURT ON TOP

Filip Kostic comes striding forward for the visitors and slips out left to Paciencia, but his cross is easily gathered by Wolfsburg keeper Pervan, who is in for the injured Koen Casteels. Not a huge amount of rhythm so far, but Frankfurt have made the brighter start.
2'

HIGH TEMPO FROM FRANKFURT

The visitors are pressing high in the early minutes, and Wolfsburg are having all sorts of trouble getting out of their half for the time being. No chances to speak of as yet.
1'

WE ARE UNDERWAY!

Frankfurt get the ball rolling at the Volkswagen Arena. Already a first cross into the home penalty area for the visitors, but it's a shade too high for Paciencia...

KICK-OFF IMMINENT!

We're a couple of minutes away from the final game of Matchday 30 - who will boost their European hopes this Easter Monday?

WOLFSBURG TEAM NEWS

The biggest surprise in the Wolfsburg team is the return of Daniel Ginczek, who makes his first start of 2019. The forward got a goal and an assist in the Wolves' 2-1 win in the reverse fixture earlier in the season, so perhaps that contributed to coach Bruno Labbadia playing him ahead of Renato Steffen. Elsewhere, Pavao Pervan continues to deputise in goal for the injured Koen Casteels, while Marcel Tisserand replaces Jerome Roussillon (muscular complaints) at left-back in what is Wolfsburg's first ever Bundesliga match on a Monday.

FRANKFURT TEAM NEWS

Frankfurt coach Adi Hütter makes two changes to the side that defeated Benfica in the Europa League quarter-finals on Thursday. Ante Rebic is given a breather after "running himself into the ground," according to his coach, so Goncalo Paciencia begins in his place in attack. Meanwhile, Gelson Fernandes is suspended after his sending off last week, so Lucas Torro starts in central midfield alongside Sebastian Rode, thereby making his first Bundesliga appearance since the 7-1 victory over Fortuna Düsseldorf on Matchday 8. Hütter singled out Simon Falette for praise after his performance on Thursday, so he starts in the back three ahead of Evan N'Dicka and Almamy Toure.

FIRST BLOOD TO THE WOLVES...

As if we didn't have enough animal metaphors to throw around this evening, the two clubs took part in a dragon boat race this afternoon, with Wolfsburg emerging victorious. Will Frankfurt get their revenge on solid ground at the Volkswagen Arena?

WOLFSBURG SUBS

WOLFSBURG STARTING XI

Pervan – William, Knoche, Brooks, Tisserand – Gerhardt, Guilavogui (c), Arnold – Mehmedi – Ginczek, Weghorst

FRANKFURT SUBS

FRANKFURT STARTING XI

Trapp – Abraham (c), Hasebe, Falette – Da Costa, Torro, Rode, Kostic – Gacinovic – Paciencia, Jovic

CHASING EUROPEAN GLORY

Frankfurt will be relishing the tantalising prospect of a first Champions League campaign next term, given that they haven't reached the continent's elite club competition since losing the 1960 European Cup final to Real Madrid. But the Eagles will first be gunning for glory in this season's Europa League, having come from 4-2 down to oust Benfica last Thursday. Adi Hütter's side will come up against Chelsea in the semi-finals on Thursday 2 May (h) and Thursday 9 May (a).

ADVANTAGE FRANKFURT?

Curiously, the away side has prevailed in the last four meetings between these sides, stretching back to Wolfsburg's 1-0 win at the Volkswagen Arena in December 2016. Frankfurt are also enjoying their Bundesliga travels at the moment, having won their last three games on the road (Hannover, Fortuna Düsseldorf and Schalke). In fact, the Eagles have only lost one of their last 11 away games, against Hertha (1-0) on Matchday 14.

PREVIOUS MEETING: FRANKFURT 1-2 WOLFSBURG

Frankfurt were flying when the Wolves visited the Commerzbank-Arena in early December, having strung together six wins and a draw in seven league outings. But the visitors forged ahead on the half-hour through Admir Mehmedi, and went on to double their lead when Daniel Ginczek converted Elvis Rexhbecaj's superb cross on 68 minutes. Luka Jovic did get one back for the Eagles, but it was too little too late as they suffered a second home defeat of the campaign.

HOW THINGS STAND

Despite a shock defeat at home to Augsburg last Sunday - which snapped a six-game winning streak - Frankfurt still have their fate in their own hands as they try to secure a historic first qualification for the UEFA Champions League. The Eagles are currently fourth in the table, and could move four points clear of fifth-placed Borussia Mönchengladbach with a win tonight. Wolfsburg, in ninth, are five points off the final European spot, so victory against the Eagles would keep them very much in contention.
