The ominous final quarter of an hour has begun. After 75 minutes, Ulm have only been behind in four out of 29 matches, less frequently than any other second division side - yet they still ended up losing 13 times.

Magdeburg cannot make a decisive breakthrough offensively and the clock is ticking. About 20 minutes left for the visitors to change the result.

The visitors are clearly making more effort in attack but are still unable to break through. They're still just lacking the final threat on goal. Meanwhile, Ulm are waiting for mistakes and counter-attacks.

Magdeburg still can't get any offensive traction. The third-placed team in the second division hasn't had a proper goal-scoring opportunity so far.

Magdeburg have been too imprecise in their forward play, with several misplaced passes. Ulm have no problems defending against these efforts so far.

El Zein doesn't appear to be injured, but is already done for the day. Krempicki comes on for him.

Telalovic has now hit double figures for goals this season in the Bundesliga 2. The last Ulm players to achieve this before him were Dragan Trkulja (14), David Zdrilic (12) and Janusz Gora (10) in the miraculous promotion season of 1998/99, when Ulm marched through to the Bundesliga under Ralf Rangnick and then Martin Andermatt.

Magdeburg have now taken possession of the ball and are exercising control. Ulm are lying in wait for any loss of possession. Neither approach has led to any goal threat yet.

Christian Titz has to make changes to his side that won out over Kaiserslautern last time: Alexander Ahl-Holmström continues to be plagued by injury troubles and is out with a thigh injury. Abu-Bekir El-Zein moves into the starting line-up in his place. He didn't feature against Lautern, but had previously started three times in a row in the no. 10 position.

There's only the one change for the Sparrows following their defeat at Schalke on Matchday 28: Lucas Röser drops to the bench with Semir Telalović starting instead after two recent substitute appearances. He is Ulm's top scorer with nine goals, but hasn't found the net since his four-goal haul against Regensburg at the end of January.

Christian Titz faced the Sparrows four times in the Regionalliga Südwest as manager of Homburg between 2012 and 2014. He celebrated two home victories, but collected only one point in two matches at the Donaustadion.

The first clash between these sides this season was also the first competitive match ever between Ulm and Magdeburg – it ended in a goalless draw.
