Frankfurt am Main - Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus has been ruled out of Germany's upcoming UEFA Euro 2016 qualifiers against Poland and Scotland due to injury.
The 26-year-old departed from the squad's training base in Frankfurt on Wednesday evening after aggravating a toe injury he sustained in the recent Bundesliga game with Hertha Berlin, which Dortmund won 3-1. He will therefore miss out when Germany take on the Poles on Friday evening (kick-off 20:45 CEST / 18:45 GMT) and Scotland in Glasgow next Tuesday (kick-off 20:45 CEST / 18:45 GMT).
Reus, who has won 25 caps in an international career blighted by injury, will return to his club for further treatment. He has been in excellent form in the early weeks of the season, scoring six goals to help BVB win an astonishing eight straight competitive matches under new coach Thomas Tuchel.
