00:10: What a night...

but ultimately one that ends in disappointment for Dortmund. Join us again on Friday, though, as the Bundesliga's sole representative in Europe - FC Bayern München - learns who they'll face in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals. Until then, auf Wiedersehen!

23:30: JÜRGEN KLOPP REACTION

"Of course the game was tough from the start. I don't think it was too bad what we did at the start, but we lost the ball and they're so quick on the counter-attack. Two-nil down at the break, it's not easy, but it was still possible. We're Liverpool, and with our history, we know we can pull off this kind of exploit. Some players a few years ago were 3-0 down in the Champions League final….It was a good experience. I'm more tired than happy at the moment, but the happiness will come."

22:27: ROMAN WEIDENFELLER REACTION

"We should’ve controlled the match better after taking the lead. Liverpool are a strong side of course. It was a top-quality game tonight. We played some great football in the first 30 minutes, but didn’t manage to hold on."

22:25: THOMAS TUCHEL REACTION

"It’s tough to take. We were close to beating Liverpool, and could’ve even made it 4-4 late on. Congratulations to Liverpool. We lost our calm as the game progressed. Liverpool took big risks after going behind. We had several chances to score more in the second half. We didn’t achieve our goal tonight. We need to show we can cope with this disappointment."

23:18: EMRE CAN REACTION

"I’m incredibly proud of the whole team. It’s a unique experience. It was tough coming back from two goals down. However, we never gave up and all believed we were still in with chance. Klopp was very calm at half-time. I’m lost for words."

23:10: MARCO REUS REACTION

"I think we started well, scoring two early goals. I can’t explain how we conceded four tonight, though. We didn’t play our game in the second half. It was clear they would try and fight back. We played well in the first-half, but shouldn’t give away the game like that. This is football, however. We need to analyse this match well as we have tough games ahead of us. We need to do better in those."

The home side respond as Origi sends a shot goalwards and only Sokratis' challenge sends it spinning wide of Weidenfeller's goal.

GOAL: 9' LIVERPOOL 0-2 DORTMUND

Reus nicks back possession...comes over halfway...SLIDES THE BALL IN BEHIND SAKHO! AUBAMEYANG IS ONTO IT! AND SMASHES THE BALL INTO THE TOP CORNER! What a finish! Dortmund in dreamland - 3-1 on aggregate now, and Liverpool need to score three.

GOAL: 4' LIVERPOOL 0-1 DORTMUND

Neuer: "We want to go all the way"

Manuel Neuer won the Champions League with Bayern back in 2013 and the 30-year-old goalkeeper wants to repeat that feat this year. "We’re delighted to have got through to the semi-finals again, but obviously we want to go all the way now," he said.

Lahm: We're not done yet'

"It was a sensational atmosphere and we really enjoyed it," reflects Philipp Lahm on Bayern's progression to the Champions League semi-finals. "But it was hard work. We were better at closing down the space between midfield and defence, we kept it tight at the back and we were more precise than in the first game. We’re through to the semi-finals for the fifth time in a row - unbelievable! And once you’re among the last four teams in Europe, you obviously want more. We’re not done yet."

Sturridge: "Playing BVB is like playing your mates on FIFA

"You've all put £20 in and there's £100 to win," says Liverpool's Daniel Sturridge. "Your palms get sweaty... but then you embrace it and you enjoy it!"

Dortmund's Tuchel ready to attack

BVB coach Thomas Tuchel will be aware his side need to score at Anfield this evening after the first leg against Liverpool ended 1-1. Accordingly, he has vowed to go on the attack: "We know what we have to achieve: to score. We are here to attack and here to take risks."

Bayern's Thomas Müller - 'Our team spirit is fantastic!'

"We’d practised that move in training," said Thomas Müller in his post-game interview. "So I was happy it worked so well and I managed to score! Our team spirit is fantastic and it’s only growing with each victory. You need passion in these games, but you also need to show the required quality and have a game plan. I’m sure Philipp Lahm will stay our record appearance holder for a long time. He’s not the quickest, but he makes up for it with his ability on the ball."
