Summary

  • Pulisic second-half substitute against Liverpool.
  • Says Dortmund will go to Liverpool "looking to win".
  • First leg ended 1-1.

There is nothing quite like playing at the SIGNAL IDUNA PARK, according to Borussia Dortmund midfielder Christian Pulisic.

The 17-year-old only played 13 second-half minutes of BVB's UEFA Europa League quarter-final first leg draw with Liverpool FC on Thursday night, but savoured every second like it was his last.

Match report: Dortmund 1-1 Liverpool

'A nice feeling'

"It's always amazing to play in front these fans," Pulisic told BVBtotal! from inside Dortmund's world-famous abode after the game. "It's a unique opportunity and to have a coach that trusts me it's a nice feeling to go out there and play a great team."

Pulisic now has 47 minutes of Europa League experience under his belt to go with 122 in the Bundesliga. Not bad for a player who was only promoted to the first team during the winter break.

Although his appearances have been fleeting, he continues to impress - so much so that he recently became the youngest American ever to feature in a FIFA World Cup qualifier at the tender age of 17 years, six months and 13 days.

'We'll try to win in Liverpool'

Further highlights are a given, not least with the Revierderby against FC Schalke 04 next on the agenda at the weekend. After that, it’s over to Anfield to, hopefully, finish the job against Jürgen Klopp's Liverpool.

"Liverpool's a great team, so we're happy with the draw," Pulisic explained with an eye on next week's decisive return leg. "We'll go to Liverpool and try to win."
