FC Bayern München goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has withdrawn from the Germany squad to face Italy with an upset stomach.

The three-time IFFHS Goalkeeper of the Year, who turned 30 at the weekend, is expected to be fit in time to face Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga on Saturday afternoon.

With Neuer ruled out, either FC Barcelona's Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Paris Saint-Germain FC's Kevin Trapp or Bayer 04 Leverkusen's Bernd Leno will deputise between the posts at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday night (kick-off 20:45CET/18:45GMT).
