FULL TIME The final whistle goes and the Schalke bench leaps to its feet in celebration. FC Schalke 04 will be one of the names drawn when the UEFA Champions League gropu stage draw is made in Monaco on Friday.

GOAL! 90'Schalke are taking their place in the group stages of Thursday's UEFA Champions League draw in Monaco! Draxler is the creator as he chases down a lost cause and cuts back for Szalai to roll in the third.

85'Uchida takes a risk with a clumsy challenge on Stoch that the referee declines to penalise. Schalke have a few minutes plus stoppage time to hold out...

81' So close to the the goal that could send Schalke into the Europa League! Stoch, who has been a menace all evening, cuts inside Felipe Santana but can't bend his shot inside the far corner. The Royal Blues are living dangerously.

GOAL! 79' The Royal Blues' rearguard have stood up to the challenge well, but now the home side have one back. Felipe Santana concedes a free kick and from Stoch's delivery, Konstantinos Katsouranis glances in an equaliser.

68' The home side react superbly to conceding the second goal, and really should be level on the night. A good move ends up with the ball bouncing in front of midfielder Lucas, but his composure deserts him and he fires over the bar. Schalke still have defending to do in this one.

GOAL! 67' Well it looked like Schalke would struggle with ten men, but they've responded in the best way possible. A clever pass from Max Meyer releases the ever-reliable Draxler and he rounds the keeper before coolly sliding home. A massive goal for Schalke, as PAOK now need two goals.

RED CARD For Schalke's Jones, who clumsily slides in from behind and takles none of the ball. The Royal Blues's job just got a lot more difficult

62'Farfan goes close to a second goal
for Schalke after Julian Draxler is fouled, but his free kick flies wide of the post.

GOAL! 52' Schalke have been pegged back and it's their own undoing. After a miscommunication in midfield, a neat pass releases Stefanos Anathasiadis, who steers a brilliant shot into the top corner.

51' A good move almosts ends with Szalai crossing for the unmarked Clemens, before PAOK come within a whisker away from equalising, as Salpingidis narrowly fails to connect with Miroslav Stoch's cross.

46' The second half is underway.

Half time It's so far so good for Schalke, who have a crucial lead through Adam Szalai's goal.

GOAL! 43' Schalke have the breakthrough their overall dominance has waranted. Adam Szalai gets the goal but it's Atsuto Uchida that deserves the credit. The Japanese international breaks into the box and squares for Szalai to stab home fom close range.

41' Again it's Farfan who stretches the home defence, finding space in the boy to fire off a pot-shot at goal that goalkeeper Jacobo saves well.

33'Farfan was the man that scored Schalke's goal in the first leg and it's from the Peruvian that the side look most dangerous. However, errors in possession are undermining their game. More urgency is needed from the Royal Blues, who, as things stand, will NOT be qualifying for the group stages of the Champions League on account of PAOK's away goal in Gelsenkirchen.

25' There's a brief spell of pressure as the Bundesliga outfit force another two corners. Jefferson Farfan's delivery leaves something to be desired but from the second one, Jones is able to get a shot away. Sadly for the the USA international his effort goes out for a throw.

19'Fuchs is seeing plenty of the ball and supporting Christian Clemens well on the left side. However, Schalke's rhythm is interrupted when Jermaine Jones is booked for a cynical foul on PAOK's Dimitris Salpingidis.

10' Following an encouraging start for the Royal Blues, the home side begin to come into the game, with better organisation at the back. Schalke are looking comfortable in possession but are being kept from reaching the hosts penalty area.

3' A good start for Schalke as Jermaine Jones leaps highest to head Christian Fuchs's curling free-kick at goal, but the PAOK keeper parries well with his legs.

Kick-off And we're off, with Schalke kicking from left to right.

Kick-off - 5 minsJens Kellerbemoaned his side’s participation in last week’s first leg as one of the reasons for their below-par display in Hanover on Matchday 4. Nevertheless, he’ll be hoping to have many more European games to come this season, preferably at Europe’s top table, the Champions League.

Kick-off - 10 mins Schalke didn’t exactly warm up for this most crucial of games in the best possible way. On Matchday 3 they went to Hannover, where a poor first-half display condemned them to a 2-1 defeat, highlights of which you can watch here. As if the result wasn’t bad enough, Christian Fuchs and Benedikt Höwedes were also sent off, the latter receiving a straight red card.

Kick-off - 15 mins Before the whistle is blown to commence this second leg, why not remind yourself of how Schalke fared in the first game in the Veltins Arena last Wednesday.
