Bayern Munich had to be patient but a second-half brace from Robert Lewandowski lifted them to victory at Werder Bremen.

Werder Bremen 0-2 Bayern Munich

Goals: Lewandowski (72', 75')

Bayern started strongly and new signing Corentin Tolisso was denied his second goal in as many games when he hit the crossbar early on. Arjen Robben had chances too, the best of which was a glancing header that went inches wide on 38 minutes. The champions’ pressure finally told in the final quarter when substitute Kingsley Coman brilliantly set up Lewandowski before the Pole got his second of the game and third in two matches just a couple of minutes later.
