Following Spain's early exit from UEFA EURO 2016, new Borussia Dortmund defender Marc Bartra has arrived in Germany and is eager to get started at the "magnificent club".

The 25-year-old penned a four-year deal with Thomas Tuchel's side at the beginning of June and was brought in from FC Barcelona to strengthen the defence in the wake of Mats Hummels' departure for FC Bayern München.

"I haven't been able to see much of the city yet but I'm hoping to see more of it soon," Bartra continued. "I'm looking forward to seeing the stadium when it's full in the first official match against Bayern. I really want to be there and help this magnificent club."

Dortmund will host Bayern in the Supercup 2016 on 14 August before playing 1. FSV Mainz 05 at home on Matchday 1 of the 2016/17 season two weeks later.
