Hamburg's Spahic signs one-year contract extension
Hamburger SV defender Emir Spahic has put pen to paper on a one-year contract extension.
The Bosnia-Herzegovina international, whose existing deal was due to expire next month, will remain in the Hanseatic metropolis until 30 June 2017.
35-year-old Spahic joined Hamburg last summer after being released by Bayer 04 Leverkusen and was a virtual ever-present in the side that enjoyed a welcome tenth-placed finish in 2015/16 following two seasons battling relegation.
