Andre Schürrle, Mario Götze and Raphael Guerreiro all made their Borussia Dortmund bows as Thomas Tuchel’s men drew 1-1 with English Premier League outfit Sunderland AFC on Thursday.

Barely 60 seconds later, Tuchel introduced a host of players, giving Schürrle and Guerreiro their BVB debuts and allowing Götze to make his return in a black-and-yellow shirt, three years after his departure for FC Bayern München.
Julian Weigl and Lukasz Piszczek came off the bench to make their first appearances since featuring for Germany and Poland respectively at UEFA EURO 2016, while USA international Christian Pulisic also joined the fray.
Schürrle almost helped earn the side he joined this summer from VfL Wolfsburg victory with a sublime pass to set Emre Mor racing through on goal, but the youthful Turkey international saw his effort cleared off the line.
