Dortmund's Mkhitaryan set to complete Manchester United move
Borussia Dortmund have announced that midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan is set to join Premier League side Manchester United FC in the current transfer period.
A statement on the club's official website stated: "Following intense discussions, BVB have complied to the wishes of the Armenian international, to allow him to join Manchester United, England's fifth-placed side last season. Borussia Dortmund wish Henrikh Mkhitaryan all the best for the coming season in both the Premier League and the Europa League".
Mkhitaryan impressed greatly throughout the 2015/16 campaign as one of the Bundesliga's foremost playmakers, scoring 11 times and setting up a further 15 goals for team-mates – a league-leading tally. The Armenian is the third big name to leave Dortmund this summer following the departures of Ilkay Gündogan and Mats Hummels.
