Star parade in Munich

FC Bayern München's remaining UEFA EURO 2016 participants resumed training on Friday morning. Manuel Neuer, Thomas Müller, Joshua Kimmich, Robert Lewandowski and Kingsley Coman were all in attendance at Säbener Straße to give summer signings Renato Sanches and Mats Hummels the warmest - or rather the wettest - of welcomes, with the Supercup 2016 showdown against Borussia Dortmund just around the corner.

Following Coke's winning debut in an FC Schalke 04 shirt in a pre-season friendly against FC Bologna, 1. FSV Mainz 05 midfielder Jairo Samperio took to Twitter to welcome his Spanish compatriot to the Bundesliga:

"My friend, thank you very much. Whenever you want to give me some classes..."

Ahead of Dortmund's pre-season friendly with Sunderland AFC, Mario Götze spoke to BVB total! about his much-publicised return to his former club following three seasons with FC Bayern.

"It feels great to be back," the 24-year-old said with a smile. "I'm looking forward to what lies ahead. There were other offers, but I knew pretty quickly that I wanted to come back here. Hopefully I'll be able to play my best football again."

Stindl wary of Young Boys

Borussia Mönchengladbach captain Lars Stindl insists "there are no favourites" after the Foals were paired with Swiss outfit BSC Young Boys in the UEFA Champions League group stage play-off draw on Friday.

"We watched the draw in the dressing room," he told club website www.borussia.de. "We immediately thought of our recent game against them [pre-season friendly that ended 3-3] and then about the fact that they've knocked out Shakhtar [Donetsk]. Obviously, these matches won't be like the friendly. I don't think there is a favourite going into games like this. We need to make sure that we're ready for the match, but we have enough time to prepare."

Obinna joins Darmstadt

SV Darmstadt 98 have announced the signing of Nigeria international Victor Obinna, pending a medical. The former FC Internazionale Milano, Malaga CF, West Ham United FC and Lokomotiv Moskva striker, who was released by Bundesliga 2 side MSV Duisburg at the end of last season, joins the club following a successful two-week trial.

"Victor's a very good footballer who has already gained experience at some big clubs."
