- Reds beat Belgian outfit Eupen 5-0.
- Costa, Vidal, Hummels and Benko the scorers.
- Defender Badstuber agrees loan switch to Schalke.
FC Bayern München ensured a satisfactory end to their trip to Doha, Qatar as they beat Belgian top-flight side KAS Eupen 5-0 in a friendly on Tuesday evening.
Coach Carlo Ancelotti had to do without Holger Badstuber, as the defender finalised terms on a loan move to FC Schalke 04, but was still able to pick a strong side, with Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Müller both starting.
Eupen defended stoutly in the first half, but their resistance was broken on the stroke of half-time when Mats Hummels netted the opener. Arturo Vidal and Douglas Costa added to the scoreline in the second half, either side of strikes from the impressive Fabian Benko.
The Reds are due to fly home to Munich on 11 January. There they will continue their training in preparation for the resumption of their league campaign at SC Freiburg on 20 January.
