Tomas Oral has been appointed Karlsruher SC head coach for the 2016/17 season, the southwestern club have confirmed.

'An excellent fit'

The current FSV Frankfurt 1899 head coach will replace Markus Kauczinski, who announced his intention to leave his post earlier this season, and has been handed a contract until June 2019.

"Tomas Oral has shown that he can develop an exciting team on limited resources," said Karlsruher sporting director Jens Todt. "He knows the Bundesliga 2 well and brings through young players well. We are convinced that he is an excellent fit for KSC."

Oral has previously been assistant coach at Fulham FC in England, as well as coaching FC Ingolstadt 04, RB Leipzig and most recently FSV Frankfurt.
