On the hunt for yuletide cheer on Day 18 is FC Schalke 04 striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar...
Huntelaar proved an instant hit at the VELTINS Arena after moving to Gelsenkirchen from AC Milan in August 2010. The former SC Heerenveen, AFC Ajax and Real Madrid CF frontman scored a brace in the 5-0 rout of MSV Duisburg in the final of the 2011 DFB Cup, before going on to become the first Dutchman in Bundesliga history to get his hands on the Torjägerkanone a year later. With 73 strikes in 142 Bundesliga appearances, he is joint-second with Ebbe Sand on Schalke's all-time list of scorers behind Klaus Fischer (182 goals).
- In 2011/12, Huntelaar equalled Fischer's single-season club record of 29 Bundesliga goals.
- He moved up to second in the Netherlands' all-time scorers' charts, after scoring his 40th and 41st international goals in a friendly defeat to the USA on 5 June 2015.
- The Dutchman has scored more goals against SV Werder Bremen than against any other Bundesliga club (seven in eight appearances).
