In bundesliga.com’s Advent calendar competition, we are offering you the chance to win one of over 240 brilliant prizes, including signed shirts and other Bundesliga memorabilia. All you need to do is watch a video clip and decide if the player in question scored a goal or not. Simple!
On Day 12, we look at the current Bundesliga superstar Stefan Kießling.
Stefan Kießling has joined two exclusive clubs in his Bundesliga career: he has broken through the 300 appearance barrier in the Bundesliga, and netted over a century of German top-flight goals, placing him in the top-20 of the all-time scorers' list, and he still has a few years – and goals – left in him to polish off that record. The Bundesliga's top-scorer in the 2013 season, and runner-up in 2010, has yet to win any silverware, however. He finished second in the Bundesliga with Leverkusen and third at the 2010 World Cup with Germany, and a major trophy is all that is lacking to crown his career.
- Only Ulf Kirsten (177) has scored more Bundesliga goals for Leverkusen as Kießling.
- His haul of 136 Bundesliga goals to date includes one which did not actually enter the net correctly – his 'phantom goal' against Hoffenheim.
- He opened his account for the season on the opening day for a record four years in a row between 2012 and 2015.
