Paulo Sergio has joined the impressive band of Bundesliga Legends who promote German football around the world.
The former Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich forward joins the likes of ex-Schalke and Dortmund goalkeeper Jens Lehmann, Stuttgart legend Pavel Pardo, and former Bayern team-mate Lothar Matthäus as one of the Bundesliga's global ambassdors.
The Brazilian forward made his name in the Bundesliga during 121 appearances for Leverkusen, netting an impressive 47 goals in the colours of Die Werkself.
He left for AS Roma in 1997 after a four-year spell on the Rhine only to return to Germany in 1999 to join Bayern, where he enjoyed the most successful spell of his career.
The 1994 FIFA World Cup winner swelled his medal collection with two Bundesliga titles, one DFB Pokal, a UEFA Champions League and an Intercontinental Cup.
