Miroslav Klose to join Bayern Munich in Asia

Bayern Munich legend Miroslav Klose will travel with the club on their Bundesliga World Tour of Asia.

The former Germany striker, who is the all-time top scorer at World Cups with 16, will accompany coach Carlo Ancelotti on Bayern’s 12-day journey to China and Singapore, during which time the club will take on Arsenal, AC Milan, Chelsea and Inter Milan.

“I’m looking forward to these days with FC Bayern in Asia,” said the 39-year-old, who won the Bundesliga and DFB Cup double twice with the Bavarians between 2007 and 2011. “There are many interesting stops and this time I will have a completely different perspective.”

Klose, currently on Joachim Löw’s coaching staff with the Germany national team, will have Mats Hummels and Thomas Müller for company in Asia, as well as talented Under-17 goalkeeper Christian Früchtl.
