Dortmund - Although Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was pleased to continue his goalscoring run, the predominant emotion for the Gabon international after Borussia Dortmund's 2-2 draw with SV Darmstadt 98 was disappointment.

Borussia Dortmund

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang: "It was really difficult to find any space after they scored the first goal because they started playing very defensively, so we had to work hard. It's a really bad night for us, because we conceded late on. I'm not very happy tonight, but obviously as a striker, it's good when you're scoring a lot. We know it will be difficult against Bayern, but we're going there with ambition."

Mats Hummels: "We know that Darmstadt play right to the end, that it can be a little crazy. They scored a volley with the player unmarked. There were five or six of our players standing in front of the goal, that's not a defence. It was a game that normally we should have won. Darmstadt had a lot of luck and got a point with two shots on goal. That happens. You have to say that it was pure luck that they got something from it, but we have to deal with that. Recently, we have dropped two points totally unnecessarily. We simply have to defend properly. Darmstadt were done for, they didn't believe they could do it any more, and we gave them a chance. That tarnishes things a little bit."

Ilkay Gündogan: "It was very, very frustrating against Hoffenheim that we didn't make it 2-1 despite some great chances. It was the same against Darmstadt. We know that in both games we did not play up to our usual high standards."

Thomas Tuchel: "In the last few minutes, we gave the ball away unnecessarily. We're disappointed, it feels like two points dropped. Both of our goals were great. I was impressed with the tempo in the second half. We have often played against teams that have sat back, and we have still scored 21 goals. So, we're finding solutions."

Roman Bürki: "We lacked a little bit of composure going forward."

Julian Weigl: "It's a big disappointment. We'd fought back really well in the second half. When we scored the second we were obviously delighted and wanted to hold onto the lead. Then we conceded a stupid goal from a set piece. We just went to sleep, it's very irritating."

Aytac Sulu: "We played well for an hour but then gave away two goals we shouldn't have done. We got stuck back in again, though, and fought until the last second. IT's a famous 2-2 draw."

Marcel Heller: "Yes, we believed until the end. We played well until they made it 1-1, and then to come back from going behind here is really hard. We'll take the point very happily though. I caught my goal perfectly, but we knew Dortmund create a lot of chances. We're at home next [against 1. FSV Mainz 05], and we'll be aiming for three points."

Peter Niemeyer: "Mentality beats quality, that is the motto we follow to the letter. You can see that you can achieve things with that. We're going to enjoy this now, but it all starts again on Friday."

Dirk Schuster: "We're very proud and very happy that we're taking a point home with us. It was obvious to us before the game that we were facing an opponent with lots of individual quality and plenty of pace going forward. Fortunately we got the equaliser late on and we're delighted with a point against a side which has won almost every game until now."
