Schalke midfielder Leon Goretzka sidelined with injury

Schalke and Germany midfielder Leon Goretzka will be out of action for approximately one week after sustaining a thigh strain in training.

The 22-year-old was taking part in his first session since returning from an extended break following his title-winning exploits with Germany at the FIFA Confederations Cup in Russia in June.

Goretzka will stay with the squad at the club's training camp in Mittsill, Austria, to receive treatment.
