Japan's Takuma Asano returns to Stuttgart on loan

Arsenal forward Takuma Asano has rejoined Stuttgart on loan until the end of the 2017/18 campaign.

The 22-year-old spent last season on loan in the Cannstadt, scoring four goals in 26 appearances as VfB made an immediate return to the Bundesliga as Bundesliga 2 champions.

"I've decided to play for Stuttgart for another season," Asano wrote on his official website. "I thought about it a lot and came to the conclusion that I wanted to play in the Bundesliga for the team with whom I won the Bundesliga 2 title."

Asano, whose previous clubs include Sanfrecce Hiroshima and Yokkaichi, is an 11-time Japan international.
