Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho makes Bundesliga debut - and history!
England starlet Jadon Sancho made his Bundesliga debut in Borussia Dortmund's absorbing 2-2 draw with Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday, becoming the first Englishman in history to pull on the Ruhr district club's famous black-and-yellow shirt.
The 17-year-old, who swapped Pep Guardiola's Manchester City for Dortmund in the summer, almost won the game for BVB after replacing the injured Maximilian Philipp in the 83rd minute, but his goal-bound effort was well saved by Frankfurt goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky.
Sancho's hotly anticipated Bundesliga debut crowns a memorable couple of weeks for the prodigious forward.
After scoring three times in the group stage of the FIFA Under-17 World Cup in India, Sancho was withdrawn from the England squad in order to travel to Cyprus for Dortmund's midweek UEFA Champions League draw with APOEL.
A first full Bundesliga debut awaits...
