Some of the biggest sports teams from the United States visited Sinsheim this week in order to check out the latest innovations that Hoffenheim and head coach Julian Nagelsmann have brought into the world of football.
Delegates from NFL teams the San Fransisco 49ers, the New York Giants and the New York Jets were joined by representatives of NHL side the San Jose Sharks and MLB outfit the New York Yankees in visiting the Rhein-Neckar-Arena.
The teams travelled to Germany to witness first hand the famous Footbonaut and Helix systems that are in place at the club’s stadium and training ground. Both procedures are used for training purposes and are only used by a small number of Bundesliga teams.
The visit was organised by software company SAP, who sponsor Hoffenheim's shirts as well as each of the American clubs that made the trip to observe Hoffenheim’s most revolutionary pieces of technology.
