Hoffenheim have kitted out youth player Alfons Amade with a professional contract.

The 18-year-old defender - a two-time Germany Under-19 international - becomes the first player to have represented the Sinsheim club at every junior and youth level, and sign for the senior side.

Die Kraichgauer have also handed pro deals to Austria U-21 midfielder Christoph Baumgartner and 18-year-old striker David Otto.

Hoffenheim are no strangers to putting their faith in youth. Julian Nagelsmann became the youngest full-time Bundesliga head coach in history, when he was appointed in February 2016, at the age of 28.

Midfielder Dennis Geiger (19) and defender Stefan Posch (20) have since broken onto the Bundesliga scene under Nagelsmann, making 23 league appearances combined so far in 2017/18.

Seventh-placed Hoffenheim host fellow top-four hopefuls Bayer Leverkusen on Matchday 19.
