Gamer shocked at Gladbach sacking

Cologne – One keen gamer got a little closer to reality than he expected when he was fired by Borussia Mönchengladbach at the weekend.

Andy Murray was shown the door by the Bundesliga club in the popular game Football Manager. Upset by the virtual club's decision, he sent a Tweet protesting to the actual Bundesliga club about their decision.

Much to the gamer's surprise, Die Fohlen's official Twitter account replied to him personally....

It seemed like the tongue-in-cheek response didn't upset Murray too much, however, as he saw the funny side of the response...

Gladbach fans need not worry, however. Lucien Favre is still the club's actual coach and preparing to lead them into the UEFA Champions League this season, while Murray has already found himself another job - at English club Watford FC, virtually.
