Wolfsburg rode their luck but picked up their first win of the campaign thanks to Daniel Didavi's first-half goal against Eintracht Frankfurt.

Maximilian Arnold forced a good save from a free-kick before the game turned on a wild couple of minutes midway through the first half. Eintracht’s Mijat Gacinovic had a header saved by Koen Casteels, Sebastien Haller headed onto the post shortly afterwareds and then Wolfsburg swept up the other end of the field where Josuha Guilavogui teed up Daniel Didavi for the opening goal. Gacinovic then hit the bar in first-half injury-time and while the Eagles huffed and puffed they could not find a leveller in the second half.
