Riedle and Ricken laying the preparations
While the players were in the air on their long flight from journey, BVB were already present in Japan in the form of former players and club icons Karl-Heinz Rieldle and Lars Ricken. The pair, who each scored in the final of the 1997 EUEFA Champions League, are acting as club ambassadors on the tour to Asia and wasted no time recruiting some new fans in amongst Tokyo's concrete jungle:
