Borussia Dortmund midfielder Christian Pulisic should be fit to face Hertha Berlin on Friday, according to head coach Peter Stöger.

The 19-year-old USA international sat out last weekend's goalless draw with Wolfsburg after taking a knock to his right shin at BVB's warm-weather training camp in Spain, but is now "more or less pain free".

"It's looking good for him," Stöger said. "As things stand, he's an option for the weekend."

Stöger also gave an update on the fitness of star attacker Marco Reus, saying: "He's getting closer, but he still isn't able to take part in full training."

Reus has not played since sustaining ligament damage in his right knee in Dortmund's DFB Cup final win against Eintracht Frankfurt in May 2017, but has been training with the first team since the turn of the year.

Stöger did not rule out the 28-year-old Germany international's involvement in the Matchday 20 meeting with Freiburg on 27 January.
